Haines Junction Mountain Festival 2018
The 3rd Annual Haines Junction Mountain Festival will take place on November 30 and December 1 this year in honour of the UN’s International Mountain Day. The Atlas features a four volume set of books, a web site, an App, and the Giant Floor Map measuring 8m x 11m - festival goers will have the opportunity to explore Canada from a different perspective as they walk across and around our country and appreciate the diversity of First Nation and Indigenous lands. Parks Canada will be providing insight into some of the wildlife monitoring in Kluane National Park and Reserve, and well-known mountaineer and historian Chic Scott will provide an evening of stories from mountains across Canada. If you ask me, it is better to have something that you want to do. If you have lots of money, but you do not enjoy life, then what is the point? I know that I am speaking from my own perspective here, but it is what it is. If we can find a career that can give us a better life, then that is what I want for myself. I want to do something that is going to make me happy.
